Ents, also known as "Treants" or simply as Talking Trees are a race of sentient tree-like beings that reside within the Otherworld. They also possess the ability to speak and see into the future. The word "Ent" was taken from the Old English ent or eoten, meaning "giant", as Ents could grow to be as tall, if not taller, than the tallest trees in the forest. In terms of appearance, Ents largely resemble ordinary trees, and if they remained still long enough, they could even go unnoticed by humans
